Scheduling App or Booking Page: What's the Difference?
People use these terms as if they mean the same thing. They do not, and buying the wrong one is a common waste of money.
A booking page
One link you send to a customer. They pick a time, it lands on your calendar. That is the whole job. It is excellent at that job and does nothing else.
A scheduling app
Runs the calendar itself: several calendars in one place, conflict checks, reminders that follow changes, and the important dates that arrive as email rather than as invitations.
The question that decides it
Ask yourself where your appointments come from. If they all come from people clicking a link, a booking page is enough. If they arrive by email, text, phone call and link, you need the app, because the link only covers one of those four.
Where SmartCal Pro sits
SmartCal Pro does both. Booking pages for the link, plus calendar connections to Google, Outlook and Apple and email scanning for the dates nobody ever puts on a booking page.
Questions people ask
Do I need both a booking page and a scheduling app?
Only if your appointments arrive in more than one way. SmartCal Pro includes both, so you do not have to choose.
What is the difference in price?
Booking-page-only tools are usually cheaper, but they stop at the link. Check what happens to dates that arrive by email.
